- Born in 1952 in London. Been variously involved in the music business and then television (starting with the glorious Malcolm Gerrie) and movies; ran the London Screenwriters' Workshop in the early 1990s; subsequently approached by Hodder & Stoughton to pen Teach Yourself Screenwriting (1995 to present) - now an international best seller [even if I do say it myself]. Taught and lectured in the UK, Europe (esp. Spain) and USA (New York, Boston, north-eartern seaboard). Probably more respected (famous?) abroad than I am in the UK - oh well, that's how it goes... Thinking of leaving the UK to live in the USA and Caribbean from (?) 2009 / 2010? ...come and join me!
